Tragically Johnson (13) died in his sleep from a suspected epileptic seizure.His 10-year-old brother went to wake him up for his paper round, and found he was not breathing. A rugby fanatic, Johnson had just days before watched the All Blacks train for a Tri-Nations test match against South Africa and got every player's signature. He played rugby for the Rimutaka club.

    I once convene for the Rimutaka junior 2000-2002 while working at south pacific tyres and a member of the premier/senior club at the same time in, and am a good friend of all associated to the Rimutaka club. My son Ethan & Joshua Paki played in the junior grade, and from this my nephew Kiel & Eraia Paki were also a passionate member of the juniors. Joshua & Eraia both played with Johnson and with the news of his sudden death has shocked my family here in Western Australia, my deepest condolence to Wayne & Dolores and brother Kenny. Dennis Paki
